📝 Ingredients
- Full Fat Milk - 1 litre
- Soft Paneer / Ricotta Cheese - 400 gm
- Vinegar as needed
- Butter - 75 gm
- Egg - 1
- Salt - to taste
- Caraway Seeds - 1 tsp
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Bring milk to boil.
- 2Add crumbled paneer or ricotta and heat it.
- 3The milk will start curdling.
- 4Add vinegar if the whey doesn't separate.
- 5Once the whey is clear, remove from flame and stir it for a minute or two.
- 6Drain the whey in a colander and collect the cheese.
- 7Take the cheese in a apn and add butter and egg.
- 8Whisk all the ingredients to combine.
- 9Cook this on medium flame.
- 10At first the cheese will crumble but after a while it will come together as a soft dough.
- 11At this stage, remove the cheese from flame.
- 12Line a plastic container with a cotton or muslin cloth.
- 13Transfer the cheese into it.
- 14Wrap it with the cloth.
- 15Place a heavy object on top to set the cheese.
- 16Set it aside for an hour or two.
- 17Remove the weight on top.
- 18Cover the container and refirgerate the cheese for 24 hours.
- 19Remove the cloth and slice it up.
- 20Enjoy!
