Our skillet pizza is a weeknight dinner winner. Made in a cast-iron skillet right on the Traeger, this one-pan wonder features a deep dish Chicago-style crust, plenty of melty cheese, and just the right kiss of wood-fired flavor.
📝 Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 Pound store bought pizza dough, room temperature
- 2 1/2 Cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 10 oz)
- 1 Cup marinara sauce
- To Taste red pepper flakes
- To Taste parmesan, freshly grated
- To Taste fresh basil, chopped
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Preheat your Traeger to 350°F. This should take about 15 minutes, depending on the weather and your grill model.
- 2Add olive oil to the bottom of a 10-inch cast-iron skillet and spread evenly to coat the entire surface. Place pizza dough into the skillet. Using your fingers, flatten and press the dough up the edges of the pan.
- 3Top the dough evenly with mozzarella cheese. Spoon dollops of marinara sauce over the cheese.
- 4Place the skillet directly on the grill grate and cook for 1 hour, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are crispy.
- 5Remove the skillet from the grill and let the pizza cool at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- 6Using a spatula, lift the pizza from the skillet and slice. If desired, serve with red pepper flakes, grated parmesan, fresh basil, or a drizzle of olive oil.
