  1. 1--- 1. Preheating air fryer (or oven) ---
  2. 2Preheat the air fryer (or oven) to 350 ºF [175ºC].⚠️ If yours is not a convection oven (that has an internal fan blowing during cooking) increase the temperature to 400 ºF [210 ºC].
  3. 3--- 2. Chopping the longaniza ---
  4. 4Chopping meat: Cut the longaniza into bite-sized pieces (about 1½ inches [4-5 centimeters].
  5. 5--- 3. Cooking ---
  6. 6Cooking: - To cook in the air fryer:Place the longaniza pieces in the air fryer bowl without overcrowding. Cook for 10 minutes, then rotate them to cook evenly.Cook for 5 to 10 more minutes, or until they turn a golden-brown color and when one is cut, it is cooked in the center.⚠️ You may need to cook in two batches if you can't fit all the longaniza on the basket without piling. The photo shows 1 pound [0.45 kilo] in the basket of my air fryer.- To cook in the oven:Place the meat on a wire rack, skin-side up. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they turn a golden-brown color.⚠️ If your oven doesn't have a fan, you may need rotate them halfway through the cooking to cook them more evenly.
