📝 Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 white onion, minced
  • 5 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
  • 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (use vegetable broth for vegan spaghetti sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Using the sauté function, heat the oil in the inner pot of your Instant Pot electric pressure cooker.
  2. 2Add the onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3Add the crushed garlic and sauté another 2 minutes. Press the cancel button.
  4. 4Stir in the whole tomatoes (with their juices), tomato sauce, chicken broth, basil, oregano, salt, black pepper, and tomato paste. Stir well to combine.*
