Let's make this Tiktok viral watermelon jello! I made it into 3 different layers: watermelon juice jello, sakura Sprite jello, and coconut milk jello. Each layer has its uniquely beautiful looking and taste.

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 Medium watermelon
  • 6 envelops Knox unflavored gelatin powder
  • 2 cups Sprite ((optional, can be substituted with 2 cups of water and sugar to your taste))
  • 10 Dried edible sakura flowers ((optional, can be substituted with dried roses or any other ingredients you like.))
  • 2 cups Sweetened coconut milk

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Cut off a ½ inch off the top of the watermelon.
  2. 2Insert a hand mixer into the hole, use the lowest speed to blend the watermelon flesh into juice.
  3. 3Pour watermelon juice in a container. Scoop out the rest of the red flesh.
  4. 4Strain 1 cup of watermelon juice into a bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes (0.5oz) of unflavored gelatin powder on the surface, gently mix until there is no dry gelatin powder.
  5. 5Strain 1 cup of watermelon juice into a small saucepot, boil over medium high heat until simmering.
  6. 6Pour the heated watermelon juice over the watermelon juice gelatin mixture. Stir with a whisk until fully combined. Let cool to room temperature.
  7. 7Pour the cooled watermelon juice mixture into the hollowed watermelon.
  8. 8Cover the opening with plastic food wrap. Keep in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  9. 9Add 1 cup of Sprite into a bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes (0.5oz) of unflavored gelatin powder on the surface, gently mix until there is no dry gelatin powder.
  10. 10Add 1 cup of Sprite into a small saucepot, boil over medium high heat until simmering.
  11. 11Pour the heated Sprite over the Sprite gelatin mixture. Stir with a whisk until fully combined. Let cool to room temperature.
  12. 12Soak 10 dried edible sakura/rose flowers in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain the water.
  13. 13Put the soaked sakura/rose flowers into cooled Sprite gelatin mixture.
  14. 14Take the watermelon out from the fridge. Gently touch the surface of the jello to make sure that it has been set. Pour the cooled sakura Sprite gelatin mixture into the watermelon.
  15. 15Cover the opening with plastic food wrap. Keep in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  16. 16Add 1 cup of sweetened coconut milk or milk into a bowl, sprinkle 2 envelopes (0.5oz) of unflavored gelatin powder on the surface, gently mix until there is no dry gelatin powder.
  17. 17Add 1 cup of sweetened coconut milk or milk into a small saucepot, boil over medium high heat until simmering. (Add extra sugar to your taste if you prefer your jello to be sweeter.)
  18. 18Pour the heated milk over the milk gelatin mixture. Stir with a whisk until fully combined. Let cool to room temperature.
  19. 19Take the watermelon out from the fridge. Gently touch the surface of the jello to make sure that it has been set. Pour the cooled milk gelatin mixture into the watermelon.
  20. 20Cover the opening with plastic food wrap. Keep in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  21. 21Take the watermelon out from the fridge, cut it in half vertically. Then cut each half in half again to get four quarters. Then slice each quarter into 1 inch thick slices. Enjoy!
  22. 22Mix cubed watermelon jello, yakult (or sweetened coconut milk), and ice to make a super refreshing watermelon jello drink!
