A quick and easy side dish recipe featuring potatoes cooked with pepper and cumin, requiring no slicing or chopping of onions or garlic.

📝 Ingredients

  • 2 medium Potatoes (cubed)
  • 1.5 tsp Cumin
  • 1.5 tsp Whole black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • Ghee / oil
  • Salt
  • Curry leaves

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Cook the potatoes with salt and keep aside. Make sure you don't overcook them.
  2. 2Crush the cumin and whole black pepper.
  3. 3Heat ghee or oil in a pan, and add the crushed cumin, pepper, and curry leaves.
  4. 4After a minute, add the chilli powder and turmeric powder, then mix well.
  5. 5Add the lemon juice, salt if required, and 2 tablespoons of water. Mix well.
  6. 6Add the cooked potatoes and combine everything together.
  7. 7Cook for 5-7 minutes on a low flame.
  8. 8Serve hot with rice or pulao.
