📝 Ingredients

  • 2 Japanese sweet potatoes
  • fork or knife
  • oven

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 400 °F
  2. 2Clean and lightly scrub the sweet potatoes under running water to clean them. I use a vegetable brush to lightly scrub any dirt off, but don’t scrub too hard or you will remove the skin.
  3. 3Use a fork to pierce five sets of holes throughout each sweet potato.
  4. 4Set the potatoes on the wire rack of your oven.
  5. 5Convection oven: bake for 40 to 45 minutes Regular non-convection oven: bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour
  6. 6At about 30 minutes, test the sweet potatoes by using a fork and piercing it in the middle. If there is no resistance, they are finished. Remove the sweet potatoes and serve immediately.
