Most men love a good burger – especially if it’s topped with cheese and served in a big floury bun. But there is a way to make burgers healthy and filling to boot.

📝 Ingredients

  • 250 g turkey mince
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. freshly chopped thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 x 50 g wholegrain buns
  • 2 slices tasty cheese
  • Spinach leaves
  • 2 thick slices of tomato

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Mix together the turkey mince, egg, thyme and salt and pepper. Shape into two patties.
  2. 2Grill the turkey burgers on either side until fully cooked through. Lay a slice of cheese onto each burger for the last 30 seconds of cooking.
  3. 3Slice the wholemeal bun through the middle, leaving it intact on at least one side. Serve the burger on the bun with the spinach and the tomato.
