  • 6 green bananas
  • water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1--- Method One ---
  2. 2Bring salted water to boil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  3. 3Wash each banana, cut across the top of the banana and also the bottom but don’t go all the through.
  4. 4Cut lengthwise along the skin, like you are scoring the skin, and try not to cut into the flesh.
  5. 5Hold the banana with one hand while using the thumb the remove the skin from the white flesh.
  6. 6If the water isn’t boiling then place peeled bananas in a bowl with cold water.
  7. 7Transfer peeled bananas to the boiling water.
  8. 8Bring to boil, cover the pot, and reduce to simmer for about 20 minutes or until tender.
  9. 9--- Method Two ---
  10. 10Cut off both ends of each banana, make a slit along the side.
  11. 11Add bananas to boiling salted water and cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
  12. 12Drain water and allow bananas to cool enough to handle. Remove the skin and serve.
