This 2-ingredient oats wrap recipe use basic kitchen science to achieve a soft, flexible flatbread that won't crack or tear—plus it has no dairy or yeast.
📝 Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
- 2 teaspoon chia seeds
- 2 Cup (500 ml) water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- crushed black pepper or to taste
- oil to cook the wraps
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Combine rolled oats and chia seeds in a bowl. Add water. Let them soak for 5 – 6 minutes.
- 2Blend the soaked ingredients in a high speed blender till smooth and creamy. Do not add additional water while blending. After blending, season the batter, mix nicely, and let it rest.
- 3Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. If your pan tends to stick, lightly wipe it with a tiny drop of oil using a paper towel.
- 4Pour about ⅓ cup of batter into the center of the pan. Working quickly, use the back of a ladle or spoon in a gentle circular motion to spread the batter into a thin, even circle (around 6–7 inches wide).
- 5Cook for 1.5 to 2 minutes on the first side. You’ll see the edges lift slightly and small bubbles form. Gently slide your spatula underneath and flip. Cook for another 1 minute on the second side until light golden spots appear.
- 6Stuff and serve Oats Wrap they way you like.
