Making roasted broccoli is really simple, and it's a healthy veggie that pairs well with almost any protein! Use my recipe and cooking tips to make this delicious side dish.
📝 Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 2 tablespoon ghee (or butter)
- 2 tablespoon nutritional yeast (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoons sea salt (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 425F. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized pieces and transfer to a large bowl.
- 2Melt the ghee in a small bowl in the microwave or on the stove, whichever you prefer and pour it over the broccoli. Pour the oil, garlic powder, and salt (if using) over the broccoli and toss together.
- 3Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the broccoli out on top, spacing out the florets as much as possible.
- 4Roast in preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove the pan from the oven. Use a large spoon or heat-safe spatula to turn the pieces over. Sprinkle the nutritional yeast over the florets.
- 5Return the pan of broccoli to the oven for another 5-10 minutes, until roasted, caramelized, and browning but not burnt. *I recommend watching it closely towards the end of the cooking time.
