There’s no better match for ghost stories and pumpkin lanterns than a Blood Orange Margarita. Bright, tart, and just spooky enough for grown-up treats.
📝 Ingredients
- Red food colouring
- Corn starch
- Salt or sugar
- 2 oz blood orange juice (–freshly squeezed)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 oz Cointreau or Grand Marnier
- 1 1/2 oz Tequila
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1--- Decoration ---
- 2Rim a margarita glass with either salt or sugar.
- 3Mix the red food colouring with a little corn starch, just enough to thicken it so it can stick to the glass.
- 4Apply this “blood” on the glass with your fingers. Keep aside to dry.
- 5--- Blood Orange Margarita ---
- 6Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- 7Shake well, then strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
- 8Serve immediately.
