📝 Ingredients
- Whole Wheat Flour - 175 gm
- Jaggery Powder - 125 gm
- Baking Powder - 1 tsp
- Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
- Fresh Orange Juice - 200 ml
- Curd/ Yogurt - 100 ml
- Coconut Oil/ Melted Butter - 60 ml
- Vanilla - A few drops
- For The Frosting:
- Chocolate - 80 gm
- Condensed Milk - 60 gm
- Choco Chips For Decoration
👨🍳 Instructions
- 1Preheat a heavy bottomed pan on medium low for 20 minutes.
- 2Grease and line a 7" square tin and set it ready.
- 3Slice and juice two oranges and set aside.
- 4In a bowl, combine together wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda and sift it thrice.
- 5In another bowl, combine together oil, orange juice, curd and sugar.
- 6Whisk until the sugar melt.
- 7Add vanilla essence and mix.
- 8Finally add the flour mixture and carefully fold it into the liquid.
- 9Pour it into the prepared tin and bake it for 35-45 minutes.
- 10If baking in oven, preheat it for 180°C and bake the cake for 35 - 45 minutes.
- 11Check with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, carefully remove the tin from the pan and allow it to cool a bit on wire rack.
- 12Flip it onto the wire rack and allow it to cool completely.
- 13In a saucepan, add condensed milk and chocolate and heat on low flame until they melt to form a thick cream.
- 14Remove from heat and transfer the frosting on top of the cake.
- 15Spread it evenly, sprinkle choco chips and slice it.
