📝 Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2 1/4 pounds) baby cuttlefish
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) olive oil
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • Coriander (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Clean and wash the cuttlefish thoroughly. Season with salt, pepper, and the bay leaf. Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
  2. 2Grill the cuttlefish in a grill pan over medium heat for about 30 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly golden and tender.
  3. 3Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and the unpeeled crushed garlic in a small skillet over medium-low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to let the garlic brown.
  4. 4Drizzle the grilled cuttlefish with the warm garlic-infused olive oil, sprinkle with freshly chopped coriander, and serve immediately with boiled or roasted potatoes for a delicious and authentic Portuguese meal.
