📝 Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Alphonso Mangoes Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Raw Mango Chopped
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water (for sugar syrup)
  • 2 cups Water (for Mangoes)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1In a pot add 1/3 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Mix well and boil it on low flame.
  2. 2As the sugar melts and the syrup is sticky, remove from heat. The sugar syrup does not need to get into a string consistency. Let the syrup cool down completely.
  3. 3In a pan heat 2 cups of water and let it come to a boil.
  4. 4Now add 1.5 cups of chopped alphonso mangoes.
  5. 5Next add 1/2 cup chopped raw mangoes.
  6. 6Let the mangoes boil on low flame. Cook covered for 5-7 minutes until the mangoes are well cooked.
  7. 7As the raw mango pieces become soft to touch, remove from heat and cool down completely.
  8. 8Now strain off the mango pieces and add to the blender. Retain the water used to cook the mangoes.
  9. 9Blend the mangoes into a smooth puree.
  10. 10Add it into the mango boiled water.
  11. 11Mix well until the mango puree and water are properly combined.
  12. 12Next add the juice to a strainer and strain off any pulp or fibre from the juice.
  13. 13Now slowly add the cooled down sugar syrup and mix well with the mango juice.
  14. 14Thick, juicy mango fruity is ready! If it is too thick, extra water can be added.
  15. 15Serve chilled! It can be stored in fridge for about a week.
