These green apple monsters are an easy and healthy Halloween snack. With just six ingredients they are ready in a flash and perfect for a party or spooky dessert.

📝 Ingredients

  • 3 green apples
  • 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds (*see notes for substitutions)
  • 1 small piece watermelon
  • 24 candy googly eyes

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1Slice the apples into quarters and slice the core off the back.
  2. 2Slice the mouths into the front of the apples.
  3. 3Juice the lemon and paint all the cut surfaces with lemon juice. This is optional but helps stop the apples from turning brown. Don't put on to much or the peanut butter won't stick.
  4. 4Spread peanut butter on the side of the apple mouths.
  5. 5Slice the watermelon into triangles and place them inside the apple mouths for the tounges.
  6. 6Gently push the slivered almonds in rows on either side of the mouth to form the teeth. I reccommend starting with the bottom two then working on the top.
  7. 7Use a couple of small dabs of peanut butter to stick on the eyes and you're done!
