Zutaten

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 lb spaghetti noodles
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Zubereitung

  1. 1

In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the lean ground beef with diced onions until the meat is mahogany-colored. Stir in minced garlic for 1 minute.

  2. 2

Pour in the marinara and oregano. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

  3. 3

Cook spaghetti in salted water for 2 minutes less than the package instructions. Drain and toss immediately with melted butter to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

Spread half of the buttered spaghetti evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  5. 5

Spoon half of the meat sauce over the noodles, spreading it to the edges.

  6. 6

In a bowl, whip the softened cream cheese, sour cream, parmesan, and garlic powder until smooth. Spread this mixture over the sauce.

  7. 7

Layer the remaining spaghetti, then the remaining meat sauce.

  8. 8

Smother the top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  9. 9

    Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.

  10. 10

Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes until the cheese develops a golden-brown crust.
