Einfache Käsestangen mit Frischkäse
Käsestangen aus Frischkäse und geriebenem Käse – herrlich käsig und lecker!
Zutaten
- 350 g all purpose flour
- 200 g UNSALTED butter (or if you have to use salted butter, don't add 2 tsp salt, just one or even none)
- 100 g cream cheese
- 250 g grated Lancashire or Cheddar cheese (I used Lancashire)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 egg beaten for egg wash
Zubereitung
- 1
Preheat oven to 180 Celsius.Measure out all the ingredients.
- 2
Mix everything together. It's best, if the butter is room temperature, so it's easier to knead.
- 3
Roll the dough out on a lightly flour dusted surface, about 1.5 cm thick. Aim for a rectangular form as much as you can. See my photo.
- 4
You can egg wash at this point, before cutting the straws or after. In my opinion, it's easier to do so before.
- 5
Cut the straws, aim for about a 1-2 cm wide straws that are fairly even so they also bake evenly. You can sprinkle with the leftover cheese if any left.
- 6
bake for about 13-16 minutes on 180 Celsius.Enjoy!
