Zutaten

  • 2 lb Potatoes ((red or Yukon gold work well))
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper ( (adjust to taste))
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Dried herbs (rosemary, thyme, oregano)
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice

Zubereitung

  1. 1

Oven - Preheat your oven to 425°F/220°C/ Gas Mark 7

  2. 2

Prep - Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into bite-sized pieces. You can leave the skin on for added texture and flavor or peel them.Pro tip - I used small size potatoes cut into 2 to 4 slices.

  3. 3

Season - Add the potato pieces to the bowl and give it a generous drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle in the spices and toss until they are evenly coated.

  4. 4

Tray - Transfer the potatoes to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spreading them in a single layer.

  5. 5

Roast - Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the potatoes for about 30-35 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Flip them once halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.

  6. 6

Rest - Once the potatoes are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon if desired.

  7. 7

Serve the spicy oven-roasted potatoes with your favorite main course as a side dish.

  8. 8

Feel free to adjust the spices according to your taste preferences. If you want them spicier, you can increase the amount of cayenne pepper or add other hot spices like chili powder or red pepper flakes.
