Mango-Habanero-Margarita

Diese erfrischende Mango-Habanero-Margarita passt hervorragend zum Cinco de Mayo und zu warmem Sommerwetter. Die Mango sorgt für ein tolles fruchtiges Aroma, während Habanero und der Chilirand eine angenehme Schärfe beisteuern. Bei Ihrer nächsten Fiesta wird sie garantiert gut ankommen!
Zutaten
- 1 1/2 ounces tequila (any, but white is recommended)
- 1 ounce orange liquor (such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mango
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1/2 of 1 habanero (seeded)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 cup of ice (if using frozen mango, start with 1/2 cup ice)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons chile powder or Tajin (optional for rimming the glass)
- 1 lime (halved; if using chile or Tajin to wet the rim of the glass)
- 1 lime wedge or slice (optional for garnishing)
- 1 habanero (sliced lengthwise; optional for garnishing)

Add tequila, orange liquor, mango, lime juice, sugar, half habanero (NOTE – use only ¼ if a seeded habanero if you want it less spicy) and the ice into the canister of a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

If you want a chile or Tajin rim, halve a lime, run the lime around the rim, and then dip the rim into the chili.

Transfer the contents of the blender into your prepared glass and optionally garnish with additional lime and/or habanero.

Note: The proportions mentioned are for one cup of approximately 12 ounces, serves 1.
