Salade César simple

De la laitue romaine, des croûtons maison, une sauce crémeuse express et du parmesan frais.
Ingrédients
- 2 Romaine Hearts
- Fresh Parmesan cheese shavings (Use your vegetable peeler to peel the shavings directly from the wedge)
- 1 Baguette, cut into 1-inch cubes (Or whatever bread you prefer)
- 2-3 cloves Garlic, sliced
- 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup Prepared Caesar dressing (Or as much as you like)
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Préparation
- 1
--- Make the croutons ---
- 2
Cut your bread into ¾- to 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 3
In a small saucepan over low heat, add ¼ cup olive oil and your sliced garlic. Let the garlic gently sizzle until just golden. Remove and discard the garlic slices—they’ve done their job.
- 4
Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan and melt into the garlic-infused oil.
- 5
Pour the mixture over the bread cubes and toss to coat evenly. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs like oregano or parsley if you like.
- 6
Spread the cubes out on a sheet pan and bake at 400°F for about 10 minutes, or until golden and slightly firm. For extra crispy croutons, bake a few minutes longer.
- 7
--- Prep the lettuce ---
- 8
Trim the ends off your Romaine hearts.
- 9
Slice each heart lengthwise into quarters, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
- 10
Store the lettuce in a lidded bowl or zip-top bag in the fridge. This makes it easy to grab and toss together whenever you’re ready to eat.
- 11
--- Assemble Your Easy Caesar Salad ---
- 12
Add your prepped lettuce to a large mixing bowl.
- 13
Pour in your Shortcut Caesar Dressing (as much or as little as you like).
- 14
Toss well to coat—if your bowl has a lid, just give it a good shake.
- 15
Add your homemade croutons and top with shaved Parmesan.
