  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese, or cheese of choice
  • 4 servings of scrambled eggs (I usually do about two eggs per person)
  • 4 English muffins, toasted
  • Sliced jalapeno, optional
  • Cooking spray

Préparation

  1. 1

Heat a large pan over medium-low heat. Spray with cooking spray and then place the cheese slices down. If adding jalapeño, place them directly on the pan and then place the cheese slice over the top of them.

  2. 2

Add one serving of the cooked eggs on top of the cheese and give them a gentle press down. Place the lid on top of the pan and just let the cheese start melting. It should take about 3-5 minutes for the cheese to become brown and crispy, and during that time you want to just let it cook without moving it around at all.

  3. 3

Once the edges of the cheese are fully browned, use a spatula to gently scrape them off the bottom of the pan. Flip over onto your English muffin and then place the other slice of English muffin on top. Add any extra toppings you like and enjoy right away for maximum crispiness.
