La salade César revisitée : cette salade rafraîchissante associe de la laitue romaine croquante, une sauce César acidulée, des croûtons croustillants et une pincée de parmesan. Parfaite en entrée ou pour un repas léger.

Ingrédients

  • 2 medium heads of romaine lettuce (about 10 cups chopped into bite-sized pieces washed, and dried)
  • 1 cup croutons (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups cubed day-old bread (French or Italian bread works well)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy paste (or 2-3 anchovy fillets, minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

    In a large salad bowl, add the torn romaine lettuce, croutons, and 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
