- 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar (packed)
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (extra virgin)
- 4 6 to 8-ounce salmon fillets (skinless)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Préparation
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- 2
Whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, and honey in a small mixing bowl until combined. Set the sauce aside.
- 3
Season the salmon pieces on both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat the olive oil in a 10-inch cast iron or oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the fish on one side until a golden crust forms, about 3 to 4 minutes. Flip the fish and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes.
- 4
Pour the brown sugar mixture over the fish and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook the fish for an additional 5-7 minutes for medium-well.
- 5
Transfer the salmon to a serving dish and drizzle with the sauce from the skillet. Garnish with chopped parsley or scallions and lemon wedges. Enjoy!
