Broiled Cod

For tender and perfectly seasoned cod, turn on your oven! Broiled Cod cooks up flakey and moist. Broiling is an easy way to get tasty cod.
Ingrédients
- 2 lbs cod (about 5 fillets)
- 1 tsp olive oil (or butter)
- 1/2 tsp salt (divided)
- 1/4 tsp pepper (divided)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (divided)
- 1/2 tsp paprika (divided)
Préparation
- 1
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and preheat your oven to broil.
- 2
Lay out the cod to prep. Drizzle it with olive oil and sprinkle on salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub to coat fish evenly in oil and herbs.
- 3
Flip cod fillets over. Again top with oil and seasonings. Rub toppings all over the fish.
- 4
Lay seasoned cod on aluminum-lined baking sheet. Broil on the top shelf of the oven for 10 minutes.
- 5
At this point, use a meat thermometer to check that the fish is done. If it isn't, broil the fish for another few minutes.
- 6
If the meat thermometer reads at least 145 degrees, then the fish is done. Remove the baking pan from the oven.
- 7
Use a spatula to move the fish from the pan to a serving dish.
