Focaccia con za'atar

Una receta de focaccia fácil cubierta con sabrosas especias za'atar. Perfecta como guarnición, aperitivo o pan para sándwich.
Ingredientes
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 3/4 cups warm water (about 110 to 115 degrees F, divided)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil (divided, plus more for drizzling)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for kneading)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon za'atar spice
Preparación
- 1
In a large bowl, combine yeast and 1/2 cup warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- 2
Add remaining 1 1/4 cups warm water, 2 tablespoons olive oil, flour, and salt. Stir until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead 5–7 minutes by hand or 3–4 minutes with a dough hook until smooth, soft, elastic, and slightly sticky.
- 4
Place dough in a bowl coated with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Turn to coat, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
- 5
Brush a large rimmed baking sheet (about 11×17 inches) with olive oil. Press dough evenly to the edges, resting briefly if it resists stretching.
- 6
Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.
- 7
Heat oven to 450°F. Dimple dough with fingertips, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with za’atar.
- 8
Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with more olive oil before serving.
