Ingredientes

  • 1/4 cup white miso paste (I use Miso Master)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon toasted (or non-toasted) sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin-off
  • Sesame seeds & sliced scallions, for garnish- optional

Preparación

  1. 1

Prep the marinade. In a medium bowl, combine the miso paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, sesame oil, mirin, and white pepper. Stir the marinade together until well combined and smooth.

  2. 2

Marinate salmon. In a shallow glass dish/container, add the salmon fillets and cover with the miso marinade. Use your hands (fitted with disposable gloves, if desired) to massage the marinade all over the salmon. Cover the dish/container with an airtight lid and transfer into the refrigerator to marinate for at least 2 hours.

  3. 3

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (see step below for oven instructions). Remove the miso salmon from the marinade, and place the salmon fillets into the air fryer basket with a bit of space in between each one. Feel free to brush a little residual miso marinade over the salmon fillets. You can either discard the marinade or place the remaining marinade into a saucepan with a little water over low heat, and simmer until the salmon is done cooking. Then just drizzle sauce over cooked salmon, as desired.

  4. 4

Air fry miso salmon for 9-10 minutes. For oven method: Place an oven rack in the center position, and then set the oven broiler to high. Line a medium-sized baking sheet with foil (I don’t recommend using parchment paper as it can burn under the broiler). Remove the miso salmon from the marinade, brush off excess, and place the salmon fillets onto the foil-lined baking sheet with a bit of space in between each one. Broil salmon fillets for 8-10 minutes or until salmon is cooked through with easily flaked flesh.

  5. 5

Serve: this miso salmon immediately alongside your favorite side dishes for a complete meal (we love serving this salmon with rice and steamed broccoli or green beans!). Garnish miso salmon with sesame seeds and sliced scallions, if desired. Enjoy!
