Hydration Tips

Why Hydration Matters

Water is essential for digestion, circulation, temperature regulation, and transporting nutrients throughout your body.

General Guidelines

  • Base: About 0.5-1 oz per pound of body weight
  • Active: Add 12 oz per 30 min of exercise
  • Hot weather: Increase by 20-30%
  • Altitude: Increase intake at high elevations

Hydration Tips

  • Start your day with a glass of water
  • Carry a reusable water bottle
  • Drink before you feel thirsty
  • Eat water-rich foods (fruits, vegetables)
  • Check urine colour (light yellow = hydrated)

Signs of Dehydration

Dark urine, dry mouth, fatigue, headaches, and dizziness can indicate dehydration. Increase water intake if you notice these signs.
